New Hanover Regional Medical Center
New Hanover Regional Medical Center is an 855 bed regional referral center serving southeastern North Carolina. A teaching hospital, regional referral center, and Level 2 Trauma Center, NHRMC is dedicated to providing a wide range of health care services to the citizens of our region.
The Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital on the campus of NHRMC provides complete care for women and children in a technically advanced, comfortable and family-centered environment. A wide range of services including fertility services, birthing care and advanced gynecological care are delivered in this facility.
The New Hanover Regional Medical Center Surgical Pavilion which opened on June 30, 2008 provides area residents access to surgical services in a comfortable setting. The 26 operating rooms are large enough to accommodate advanced laparoscopic procedures and the latest in surgical technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System. With the only da Vinci surgical robot in the Wilmington area, the Surgical Pavilion can provide the latest in minimally invasive surgery.
Coastal Family Medicine Center
Our Family Medicine Residency Center opened for patient care in March of 1997. The two story structure contains 14,000 square feet of space. Patient care is provided on the ground level while the upper level is dedicated to faculty offices, educational facilities, and two conference rooms.
The patient care area models the ideal family physicians' office and has a comprehensive array of the latest equipment and a computerized medical record system. In addition to 14 examining rooms, there are two well-equipped procedure rooms, a large resident work space, and a dedicated precepting room.
